Why complete this survey?
Your responses will help guide management to minimise human-wildlife interactions within Sydney Harbour. This research is being conducted by the Marine Predator Research Group from Macquarie University in partnership with NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
What information are we collecting?
We will ask individuals to share personal information such as age, gender, home suburb, what they do in in Sydney Harbour and their opinions on seals in the harbour. We will not be able to identify individuals from this information. This data will be used to group individuals and determine if there is a pattern between similar/dissimilar issues and attitudes towards interactions with seals.
At the end of the survey we will ask for your e-mail. If you’re happy to provide it, it will be saved separately to help us know who has completed the survey. We will not be able to link your responses to your email address.
How will the information be stored and used?
All responses and collated data will be archived securely in Macquarie University’s approved data repositories. Responses will only be accessed by collaborating researchers. The data may be made available to Human Research Ethic Committee approved research in the future if requested.
